What this site collects
Nothing, unless you use the contact form.
This site uses Google Analytics to count visits and to see which pages are read. It records the page viewed, the time, the site you came from, your type of device and browser, and an approximate location; Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses. Nothing it records is linked to your name or email address, and the reports are used only to decide what to write and what to fix.
There is no advertising on this site. Some pages carry affiliate links — if you book through one this site may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. They are on planning and transport pages only, they are labelled on the page above the first link, and no sight page carries one.
An affiliate link is an ordinary link with a tracking code on it. Following one does not identify you to this site. Google Analytics may record that an outbound link was clicked, as it records a page view, but not who you are. The partner you land on has its own privacy policy and its own cookies.
Google Analytics sets its own first-party cookies (their names begin _ga) to tell one visit from another. Apart from those, this site sets no cookies and writes nothing to localStorage or sessionStorage.
Third-party requests
Pages load their typeface from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com). That request reaches Google and, like any web request, carries your IP address and browser user-agent.
Pages also load Google Analytics (googletagmanager.com, google-analytics.com). A content blocker, or Google's own opt-out browser add-on, stops it, and every page still works exactly the same.
If you would rather it did not happen, a content blocker will stop it and the pages will fall back to a system typeface and remain entirely readable.
Server logs
The web server keeps standard access logs — IP address, time, the page requested, browser user-agent — as essentially every web server does. They are used to keep the site running and to see whether something is broken. They are not linked to any profile, not sold, and not shared.
If you use the contact form
The form sends the message you type, and the email address you provide if you choose to provide one. The address is optional; leave it blank and the message still arrives, you simply cannot be replied to.
Messages are delivered by email to the person who maintains the site and are not added to any mailing list. There is no mailing list.
If this changes
Google Analytics was added on 11 September 2026, and this page changed in the same release. Affiliate links were added on 9 September 2026, and this page was updated before the first one went live rather than after. If advertising is ever added, the same order applies.
